As a devoted member of the Beyhive, I've always been fascinated by Beyoncé's impeccable taste—not just in music and fashion, but also in her culinary choices. Which is why I went on a gastronomic rabbit hole into the eateries she's frequented or praised, which offers a unique, and occasionally glamorous glimpse into her world. Here are 15 of Beyoncé's favorite restaurants, places where the presence of Sasha Fierce has added an extra sprinkle of stardust.
B&B Butchers, Houston

This is a proper steakhouse, the kind where you’re tempted to order a martini just for the glassware. B&B Butchers is the kind of place where the meat is dry-aged on-site, the bacon comes candied, and the seafood tower threatens to block out your dining companion. Beyoncé and her family got their steakhouse fix from B&B, which makes sense—if I had Beyoncé money, I’d be eating Wagyu carpaccio on a rooftop too.
Frenchy’s Chicken, Houston

Frenchy’s is one of those places that, if you’re from Houston, you don’t just like—you defend it. It’s been slinging Creole-style fried chicken since 1969. Lucali is the kind of place that makes you work for it. No reservations, cash only, and if you want a table, you’d better be prepared to stand outside for a while. But once you get in? That pizza—thin, blistered crust, bubbling cheese, fresh basil—is worth it. Beyoncé and Jay-Z famously skipped the Grammys for a night here, which tells you everything you need to know.

Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen

The Texas-based chain specializes in Cajun-style seafood, with dishes like blackened catfish, shrimp brochette, and gumbo thick enough to make you believe in something. Hidden in a strip mall on Sunset Boulevard, Sushi Park is one of those places that doesn’t care about your Instagram. There’s no spicy mayo, no California rolls—just pristine fish, served omakase-style. Beyoncé and Jay-Z are repeat visitors, which makes sense, because if you’re going to do sushi in L.A., this is the move.
The Breakfast Klub, Houston

It’s not a typo—the “K” is intentional, and the long lines wrapped around the block are, too. Located in Midtown, The Breakfast Klub is where you go when you want chicken and waffles that don’t mess around. Beyoncé and Jay Z have been spotted here, and once you get a bite of those buttery grits or crispy wings, it’s easy to see why. You might have to wait, but as Beyoncé once said, “Great things take time.”
Uchi, West Hollywood

A restaurant that translates to “house” in Japanese and feels as intimate as one, if your house served award-winning sushi. Chef Tyson Cole, a James Beard Award winner, is behind Uchi, and Beyoncé celebrated the release of “Cowboy Carter” here, presumably appreciating the meticulous plating and unexpected flavor combinations. If you think sushi should come with cream cheese, this is not the place for you.
Café Amelie, New Orleans

Café Amelie in the French Quarter is all about romance—courtyard dining, twinkling lights, and Creole flavors that don’t need much embellishment. Beyoncé, Jay-Z, and Solange dined here post-event, probably looking for the same thing you are: good food, minimal fuss, and a strong cocktail or two.
This Is It Soul Food, Houston

No pretense, just plates stacked with oxtails, candied yams, and cornbread so good it might make you emotional. Destiny’s Child members used to eat here back in the day, and Kelly Rowland (photo above from a recent photo shoot for Pepsi) has reminisced about their visits, which means you can consider this place Houston music history.

A beachside luxury resort where the water is so blue it looks Photoshopped. Beyoncé and Jay-Z vacationed here, dining on French-Caribbean fare with their toes in the sand. If you’re going to go full celebrity mode, this is where you do it.
Max’s Wine Dive, Houston

The slogan here is “Fried Chicken & Champagne… Why the Hell Not?” and frankly, I have no rebuttal. Beyoncé has dined at Max’s, which makes sense—if you’re looking for a place where you can eat a chicken tender and sip on something that costs more than your car payment, this is it.
Red Lobster

Beyoncé name-dropped Red Lobster in Formation, and overnight, their cheddar biscuits gained cultural significance. If you don’t remember the lyric, I won’t explain it here, but suffice it to say that after that song, Red Lobster owed her royalties.
