Dining Like Emma Stone: A Culinary Tour of Star-Studded Spots
By Brady Jonas | Feb. 12, 2025
I've always been fascinated by celebrity dining habits, not because I'm some star-struck fanboy, but because I figure if they can afford to eat anywhere, they must know where the good stuff is. So when I learned that Emma Stone is an unabashed foodie, I decided to go into a deep rabbit hole of her favorite restaurants, places that would make even the most jaded food critic raise an eyebrow. Here are the eateries frequented by the Oscar-winning actress, complete with all the glamour and occasional disappointment you'd expect from following in a celebrity's footsteps.
Hwa Yuan

Nestled in Manhattan's Chinatown, Hwa Yuan is the kind of place that makes you feel like you've stumbled upon a secret society of flavor. Emma Stone and Jennifer Lawrence dined here in July 2022, probably giggling over inside jokes and Oscar-night memories. The restaurant's claim to fame? Cold sesame noodles and Peking duck that could make a vegetarian question their life choices. Chef Tang and his family have been slinging these dishes since the 1980s, proving that some things, like good Sichuan cuisine and Stone's acting chops, only get better with time.
The River Café
1 Water St | Website | Instagram
Situated under the Brooklyn Bridge, The River Café boasts stunning views of the Manhattan skyline. In May 2019, Emma Stone attended Jennifer Lawrence's engagement party here. The restaurant is known for its elegant American cuisine and has been a New York institution since 1977.
John's of Bleecker Street
278 Bleecker St | Website | Instagram
This Greenwich Village pizzeria has been tossing pies since 1929, long before Stone was even a twinkle in her parents' eyes. It's the kind of place where the walls are probably held up by decades of grease and good memories. Locals swear by the half Boom / half traditional pizza, a combination that's apparently good enough to lure in Hollywood royalty. The wood-fired brick ovens give the crust a char that's more consistent than some actors' careers.
Cosme
35 E 21st St | Website | Instagram
Located in Manhattan's Flatiron District, Cosme offers contemporary Mexican cuisine crafted by Chef Enrique Olvera. In November 2015, Emma Stone dined here alongside Adele and Jennifer Lawrence. The trio reportedly indulged in fully loaded nachos, a testament to the restaurant's innovative take on traditional dishes.
Casa Malaparte
80076 Capri | Website | Instagram
If you thought Stone only hung out in run-of-the-mill mansions, think again. Casa Malaparte on the island of Capri is so exclusive, it makes other celebrity hideaways look like public parks. Stone graced this architectural marvel with her presence for a Louis Vuitton fragrance shoot, proving that even perfume ads can have Oscar-worthy locations. The house's iconic red staircase leading to nowhere is probably a metaphor for Hollywood careers, but I'm not an architect, so don't quote me on that.
Kunde Family Winery
9825 Sonoma Hwy | Website | Instagram
Perched high in the Mayacamas Mountains, Kunde Family Winery is where Stone apparently decided to cosplay as a sommelier for a day. This 1,850-acre vineyard playground is where our favorite redhead was spotted frolicking among the vines in 2022, probably practicing her "I'm getting notes of... grape" face. With sweeping views of Sonoma Valley, it's the kind of place that makes you wonder if you've stumbled onto a movie set or just a really fancy farm.
The French Laundry
6640 Washington St | Website | Instagram
If Hwa Yuan is a secret society, The French Laundry is the culinary equivalent of Fort Knox. Located in Yountville, California, this three-Michelin-starred fortress of gastronomy is where Stone chose to indulge during a Sonoma staycation. Thomas Keller, the only American-born chef to boast two triple-Michelin-starred restaurants, changes the menu nightly. It's as if he's trying to one-up himself with each service, using ingredients so local they probably have Napa Valley zip codes.
McDonald's
Website | Instagram
Yes, you read that right. Even Emma Stone, with all her Hollywood glitz, can't resist the siren call of the golden arches. She admitted to eating at McDonald's "every other day" while filming Poor Things. It's oddly comforting to know that Oscar winners and regular folks alike can bond over the universal language of fast food. I'd like to imagine Stone pulling up to the drive-thru in a limousine, ordering a Big Mac with a side of fries and an Oscar statue.
L'Artusi
228 W 10th St | Website | Instagram
In New York's West Village, L'Artusi is where Stone goes when she's craving pasta that doesn't come from a box. This Italian-inspired hotspot opened its doors in 2008, which coincidentally is around the same time Stone was making us all feel inadequate in "Superbad." The restaurant recently launched a Supper Club that's more exclusive than the Oscars after-party. For $195 to $225 a pop, you too can eat like Emma – just don't expect her to be at the next table.
Sushi Park
8539 W Sunset Blvd | Instagram
Sushi Park seems to be visited by every big-name celebrity, including both Selena Gomez and Elon Musk, although not together, even though that would be amazing. Emma Stone and Jesse Plemons were spotted here in March 2024, probably discussing their upcoming film or debating the merits of bluefin versus yellowfin. The place is unassuming-looking from the outside, just on the second floor of a strip mall, with no website or social media. But the sushi? It's the kind of stuff that makes you question every California roll you've ever eaten.
