Taylor Swift's Top Non-NYC Dining Spots: A Swiftie's Dining Guide
By Brady Jonas
As a self-proclaimed Swiftie who spends an embarrassing amount of time figuring out where Taylor Swift eats when she’s not in New York City, I’m here to share the secret spots where she’s been spotted dining outside of the Big Apple. If you’re looking to follow in her culinary footsteps, here’s where you should go.
1. The Bluebird Cafe in Nashville
It doesn’t get more Taylor than The Bluebird Cafe, a Nashville legend where she was famously discovered. Yes, it’s technically a music venue, but you can’t ignore the snacks. Order a glass of wine and some shareable apps while you soak in the live music vibes that launched a global sensation. Who knows? You might witness the next Taylor Swift performing three feet away—she’s known to show up here unannounced.
2. Pancake Pantry in Nashville
The Pancake Pantry is a Nashville institution, known for its ridiculously long lines and fluffy pancakes. Taylor’s been seen here fueling up with pancakes and coffee, probably getting ready to write her next platinum album. You might even be inspired to jot down some lyrics yourself while waiting for a table.
3. The Loveless Cafe in Nashville
Another Nashville pancake-slinging classic, The Loveless Cafe is where Taylor gets her fix of Southern comfort food. This place has been serving up fried chicken and biscuits long before Taylor was even born, and it’s easy to see why she’d love it. She’s been known to grab a bite here when she’s in town, maybe reminiscing about her early days while digging into a plate of Southern goodness.
4. Polo Lounge in Los Angeles
When Taylor’s in LA, she’s been seen at the The Beverly Hills Hotel’s Polo Lounge, a favorite spot for tinsel town’s elite. It’s got old-school glamour that seems fitting for a pop star of her stature. Whether she’s meeting up with friends or just enjoying some alone time with a salad, Taylor’s been known to frequent this iconic spot. It’s where you go if you want to feel like a star—even if you’re just ordering the same thing Taylor did.
5. Frothy Monkey in Nashville
Back to Nashville—Taylor really does have a soft spot for her old stomping grounds. Frothy Monkey is a cozy cafe where she’s been spotted sipping coffee and, I imagine, scribbling lyrics on a napkin. It’s the kind of place where you can settle in for a long chat or some quiet time, which might explain why Taylor’s a fan. Plus, the pastries aren’t half bad either.
6. Cecconi's in West Hollywood
Over in LA, Cecconi’s is another one of Taylor’s favorites. Known for its Italian fare, it’s the kind of spot where you might bump into a celebrity—or five. Taylor’s been seen here with friends, enjoying a meal and, no doubt, discussing world domination or at least her next music video. If you’re lucky, you might just sit at the same table she did.
7. Joan’s on Third in Los Angeles
A classic LA spot where Taylor’s been known to grab a casual lunch. Joan’s on Third offers everything from Instagram-worthy sandwiches to decadent desserts (and Joan’s also got a shout-out during an Ariana Grande interview). You can almost hear Taylor humming “You Belong with Me” while devouring a prosciutto-and-brie baguette. It’s chic but not pretentious—just like her.
8. In-N-Out in Los Angeles
Even megastars crave a cheeseburger and fries now and then, and Taylor’s no exception. She’s been spotted indulging in In-N-Out, proving that even pop royalty needs an occasional animal-style fix. It’s cheap, delicious, and the closest any of us mere mortals will come to sharing a meal with her.
9. Tower Bar in Los Angeles
Taylor’s been spotted at the Art Deco dream at the Sunset Tower Hotel, known for its dim lighting, A-list clientele, and insanely good cocktails. Tower Bar is the perfect place for her to unwind after dodging paparazzi or to casually rewrite the rules of pop music. Sip the martini, channel your inner superstar.
10. Wokcano in Los Angeles
For those nights when Taylor’s in the mood for sushi and Asian fusion, Wokcano has been one of her stops. This laid-back yet trendy spot dishes out everything from spicy tuna rolls to General Tso’s chicken. Imagine Taylor sitting in the corner, chopsticks in hand, quietly humming the melody for her next hit. Bonus: It’s casual enough for you to blend in, even if your personal bodyguard budget is zero.
