If you’ve never had Bonchon’s fried chicken, here’s what you need to know: it’s hand-battered, double-fried, brushed in sauce with the care of a calligrapher, and served with enough crunch to make your jaw consider early retirement. And now, finally, Miami Beach gets a taste.

Bonchon, the global Korean fried chicken chain that’s quietly taken over 455 cities worldwide, just opened its first South Florida outpost at 905 Washington Avenue. This isn’t your average fast-casual operation. It’s the culinary equivalent of a Korean K-drama—crispy, dramatic, and full of unexpected plot twists (see: soy garlic wings with a side of pickled radish).

The Miami expansion comes courtesy of Kochalos Hospitality Group, a Bolivian trio with serious hospitality chops and plans to open six more Bonchon locations across the city, starting with Doral by summer 2025.

Of course, the wings are the main event—choose from bone-in, boneless, or strips, and go mild with soy garlic or full fire with spicy Yangnyeom. But there’s more than just chicken. You’ll find bibimbap starting at $14.99, bulgogi beef for $19.99, and Korean donuts coated in cinnamon sugar that are too soft to fight back.

They’re also slinging a wine-based cocktail—Tintos de Verano and Blancos de Verano—because apparently Bonchon came to Miami and decided it was time to party.

Bonchon Miami Beach is open daily for lunch and dinner. No reservations needed, just bring your appetite—and maybe a wet nap.
