Akron's Top Restaurants: 12 Must-Try Dining Gems
By Jamie Dutton
There’s something about Akron that keeps me coming back—not just for the Rubber Ducks or the Goodyear blimp, but for the food.
You wouldn’t know it from driving through on I-77, but this city is a patchwork of neighborhoods with kitchens that tell their own stories. Downtown feels like it’s figuring itself out, with old brick facades housing menus that mix playful and serious. Highland Square is a little rebellious, like it doesn’t care what you think, and Northside hums with creativity.
Akron doesn’t shout about its restaurants, but trust me, they’re there. And they’re worth finding. Here’s where I’ve been eating—and loving every bite.
